Jesus Christ - "The Wisdom and Power Of God"

 Wisdom From The Spirit

....For Christ did not send me to baptize,  but to preach the gospel - not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of it's power.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,  but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:

             "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
The intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."

Where is the wise man?  Where is the scholar?  Where is the philosopher of this age?  Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?  For since (in the wisdom of God) the world through it's wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
Jews demand miraculous signs and the Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified:  a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,  but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks,  Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.

Brothers, think of what you were when you were called.  Not many of you were wise by human standards;  not many were influential;  not many were of noble birth.

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise;  God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.  He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things - and the things that are not - to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.  It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus,  who has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.  Therefore, as it is written:

"Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."

When I came to you , brothers,  I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.  For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.  I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling.  My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with demonstration of the Spirit's power,  so that your faith may not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.

We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature,  but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.  No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.  None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.  However, as it is written:

"No eye has seen,  nor ear has heard,
                     nor mind has conceived
                          what God has prepared
                    for those who love him"

but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things,  even the deep things of God.  For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him?  In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.  We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.  This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom  but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.  The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.  The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:

"For who has known the mind of the Lord
      that he may instruct him?"

But we have the mind of Christ

Jesus Says: "You Must Be Born Again"

THE WORDS OF JESUS

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council.  He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi we know you are a teacher who has come from God,  for no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him."

In reply Jesus declared,  "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."

"How can a man be born when he is old?"  Nicodemus ask.  "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"

Jesus answered,  "I tell you the truth,  no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.  You should not be surprised at my saying,  You Must Be Born Again.  The wind blows wherever it pleases.  You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going.  So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

"How can this be?" Nicodemus asked.

"You are Israel's teacher," said Jesus, and do you not understand these things?  I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify of what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.  I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven - the Son of Man.  Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.  This is the verdict:  Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because there deeds were evil.  Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.  But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

After this Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized.

How Great Is The Love The FATHER Has Lavished On Us?

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us,  that we should be called the  "CHILDREN OF GOD"!   "And That Is What We Are"!   The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know "Him".

Dear friends, now we are children of God,  and what we will be has not yet been made known.   But we know that when he appears,  we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself,  just as he is pure.       1st. John  3:1 - 3

Your eye is the lamp of your body.   When your eyes are good,  your whole body also is full of light.
But when they are bad,  your body also is full of darkness.

" See To It Then That Then Light Within You
Is Not Darkness ".       Luke   11: 24, and 36

" FOR THE GRACE OF GOD THAT BRINGS SALVATION HAS APPEARED TO ALL MEN".

It teaches us to say "NO" to  ungodliness and worldly passions and to live "self-controlled",  "upright"  and "godly" lives in this present age,  while we wait for the  "BLESSED HOPE" - the glorious appearing of our  GREAT GOD AND SAVIOUR,  Jesus Christ,  who gave himself for us,  to redeem us from all wickedness,  and to purify for himself, a people that are " His   Very Own ",  eager to do what is good.     Titus  2: 11-14

" BLESSED IS THE NATION WHOSE GOD IS THE LORD "
THE PEOPLE HE CHOSE FOR HIS INHERITANCE.

From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind,
from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth;
He who forms the hearts of all,  who considers everything they do.....

In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in  "His Holy Name".

"MAY YOUR UNFAILING LOVE REST UPON US,
O LORD"
Even As We Put  "Our  Hope  In  You".   Psalms  33: 12-22

"Now the Lord is the Spirit,
and where the Spirit of the Lord  "IS"
          THERE  IS  FREEDOM.      2 CORINTHIANS  3: 17

Thank you O Lord,
It's only by "Your Grace" do we stand.

Thank you O Lord,
It's only by "Your Grace" do we stand.

Do We Stand!      -  DMc-soldiers of light-1992  -

Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Do not cast me from your presence,
or take your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the "Joy" of  "Your Salvation"
and grant me a willing spirit,  to substain me.

Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners will turn back to you.   Psalms  51: 11-13

   "HIS  PROMISES  ARE  PRECIOUS"

His divine power, has given us everything
we need for life, and godliness,
through our knowledge of Him,
who called us by his own glory and goodness.
Through these he has given us
His very great and precious promises,
so that through them you may participate
in the "Divine Nature" and escape the
corruption in the world
caused by "evil desires".    2nd  Peter  1: 3,4

   "HOLD TO THE TEACHINGS"

.....So then brothers, stand firm and
"Hold To The Teachings" we pass on to you,
weather by word of mouth or by letter.

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself
and God our Father, who loved us
and by his grace gave us
eternal encouragement and good hope,
encourage your hearts,
and strengthen you
in every good deed and word.   Thessalonians  2: 15, 16, 17

It takes great strength to walk within the light.
But, we are not expected to do it on our own.  No one can ever come to God unless God is calling them.
Also, it takes great strength to keep ones self  "Pure".  especially in this fast paced, and sinful world that is always, and forever, enticing; and manipulating; and relentlessly calling out; saying:  follow me; follow us; follow this; or follow that.
Anyone can get into a boat and let the strong current carry them down stream and over the waterfalls.  But to be able to jump off of that boat, and swim upstream against the current and make your way to safety, takes great courage; strength; and determination.
This "strength"; "courage"; and determination, is a "gift" from God.
No one can ever be pure, or stay pure without the power of the Holy Spirit keeping them.
Keep yourself  "Pure" "in God", and  "for God".  Practise those gifts  from God that are able to keep you "PURE".  Always keep in mind that being in the Light, and being of the Light, are of the Highest Of Callings".  Always keep God, in the front of your mind, and talk to Him, with "Prayer".   HE will give you the strength that you need to endure the temptations.
Always remember that whatever part of "Your Being" you feed, (weather it be the spirit, or the flesh)  is the part of you that is going to be the strongest.
If you endulge yourself in the things of the flesh, the flesh will grow stronger; and,  if not put into "CHECK", the flesh will feed on the things that are temporarily satisfying it.
The problem is that the things of the flesh are always temporary, and will never have any lasting effect.  Because of "SIN", the flesh can never be satisfied.  It always wants more, and many times it need to move to another level before it can temporarily be satisfied again.  "It Can Never Be Fully Satisfied"!
The things of  "God" are "EVERLASTING".  They bring lasting "Satisfaction",  and  "Joy, and  "Peace" to the soul.  They also bring "ETERNAL LIFE" to the "SOUL".
So,  "BE PURE",  Be like unto the "Statue Of Liberty":  Stand in the "PATHS", by the way of the "GATES", so that "ALL" may see  "YOUR LIGHT".  Hold "high" your head, and "stretch out" your arm, and proclaim the "PURE LIGHT" that is within you.  Hold tight to your bossom, the "Words Of Your Declaration", that from this day forward, "YOU WILL BE PURE",  in the "POWER OF HIS MIGHT"!   AMEN!

"LOOKING AT HIS DECIPLES JESUS SAID".

"Blessed are you who are poor,
for yours is the kingdom of God".

"Blessed are you who hunger now,
for you will be satisfied".

"Blessed are you who weep now,
for you will laugh".

"Blessed are you when men hate you,
when they exclude you, and insult you,
and reject you name as evil,
because of the Son Of Man".

   "Rejoice in that day,
and leap for joy,
   because "GREAT"
is your reward in heaven".

For that is how their fathers
treated the prophets.  Luke  6: 20-23
